Cetus
A consortium of SUNY, the California State University System, and CUNY formed to explore a variety of initiatives in technology-assisted teaching, learning, and research.
- SUNY Connect
A SUNY wide virtual library initiative. It will provide a core set of online library services, including a web based information literacy course, to all SUNY campuses, as well as all SUNY students, faculty and staff.
- SUNY Learning Network
More than 40 SUNY campuses offer online courses through the SUNY Learning Network

Produced bi-annually by Central Queensland University's Division of Distance and Continuing Education, this newsletter provides information on research conducted on distance learning.
- Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks
Also published by Vanderbilt, this peer-reviewed journal is published on an irregular basis.
- The Online Chronicle of Distance Education and Communication
Produced by Nova Southeastern University, this journal is published semi-annually and contains an exchange of information about distant learning and online communication, including articles, conference announcements, and reviews.
