Better Sources, Better Learning, Better Contributions to Courses: Improving student research, learning and writing, Wednesday, May 20, 2009

Frustrated with your students? work on research assignments? Tired of seeing references to Wikipedia? Worried about plagiarism? Do your students even know where the library is? Meet and consult with members of the SUNY Librarians Association Work Group on Information Literacy (SUNYLA WGIL) to develop solutions to these problems.

We had 27 attendees at this "Birds of a Feather" discussion, including 11 librarians.  Eight small group discussions gave classroom faculty, library faculty, and instructional designers a chance to consider problems that faculty and staff encounter in research assignments.

Logan Rath took notes and posted them at Blendedweb.
